Identity is a human right recognized in our Constitution. All people, without exception, have the right to a proper name, a legal personality, a nationality and therefore to identity. It is a right that gives you access to other essential rights, like the right to health; education; protection; and inclusion in the economic, cultural, and political life of the country. The right to identity is the key to access and enjoy all your rights!
TEMPORARY CURP WITH PICTURE FOR RETURNED MEXICANS (renapo/segob)
At the time of entering Mexico, to ensure your right to identity, RENAPO and the INM issue you a Temporary Individual Registration Number (CURP) with picture, valid for 365 days.
Now that you have returned home, you should know that in Mexico, you can obtain your birth certificate online and it has full legal validity. Birth registration is a fundamental pillar of the right to identity! For more information, visit www.gob.mx/actas
If upon entering the country, they do not find your birth certificate and you did not already have your Individual Registration Number (CURP), request a Temporary CURP for repatriated Mexicans at the repatriation points.
This service guarantees your right to identity, a guiding principle for an easier integration or reintegration. Everyone has the right to identity, without distinction and under equal conditions.

DESCRIPTION |
To guarantee everyone's right to identity, through RENAPO in collaboration with the INM, the issuance of the Temporary CURP with photography was implemented. This population registration key will be valid for 365 days and can be obtained at the 11 repatriation points and 6 airports in the interior of the Republic on staggered dates and periods, starting on October 19 in three cities in the north of the country. This temporary CURP will be essential as a means of identification for access to the full exercise of rights and thereby facilitate procedures and services in Mexico. |
